Hey there Sparky fans! After getting help with last week's guest comic by Mystayre, I'm back to making comics!
Around this time last month, I went to Anime North, one of the biggest annual conventions in the city. Much like last year, I made a review of my general experience in comic form. I had loads of fun and hung out with many friends. This was also the first time I went to the convention for 2 days instead of one; usually I only go on Saturday, but I went on Sunday this year as well. It was one of the funnest weekends I had in a while and it was another amazing experience. I had a bit of "post-con depression" after it, since it was so fun!
Funny enough, even though I planned to make this comic for today a while ago, this past weekend I went to a Cosplay picnic on the Toronto Islands. I don't cosplay, but my friend told me about it the a few days prior and we both went as photographers. It wasn't as fun as Anime North, but we still had a pretty good time and we both took lots of pictures.
Looking back at this comic, I think it is a perfect example of how my art style and Spark Comics in general have evolved over the course of a year. I made my Anime North 2011 comic at about this time last year and there is a very clear difference in how it looks. I think it looks much better and less boldened. It's certainly not perfect, but it is great to see that I've grown better and will continue to if I keep on doing these comics.
See you next comic! :)
