Hello there and welcome to Spark Comics. Whoever you are, I hope you had a wonderful summer! This may perhaps be the first time you're visiting since I've started to spread the word around more actively now that I finished the new web design. Well, you're off to a good start. After about a month's hiatus, I'm back with new comics and new ideas that will hopefully bring enjoyment to new viewers and the faithful few that have stuck by me and seen my previous comics in the past little while. Not sure if I'll be able to update every week, but I will certainly try to update frequently.
Now, back to the matter at hand, shall we? This new comic is actually my first Visual Studies assignment for second year. We were tasked with making ANYTHING to reflect and/or show an important moment in our lives. Being the ambitious person I am, I made a comic about My Moment... Which ISN'T an annoying Rebecca Black song!
The most important moment of my life thus far has been getting into Ryerson and it has affected me deeply. This comic basically shows many of the great things that have happened to me since I started at Ryerson and how my life has gone since.
It's no secret that I hated Public School with a passion and was glad to get out of there. Having a fresh start at Ryerson changed my outlook on life. People here are mostly decent, nice and mature, yet fun (And considering where I came from, meeting even one decent person is like winning the lottery), so I'm happy at Ryerson and I am very much at peace.
If you are like I was, still in the Public/Grade School system and hating it, know that this isn't the end. Work towards the future, because your luck will change. The good times will come, I can pretty much promise you that. I didn't think I'd get this far, and yet here I am.
Yeah, so this wasn't the funny comic you were hoping for, I know, but this was for an assignment. Still, it doesn't make me any less proud to have made it and have it featured on this site. Hope you were at least amused by this, at least. Consider it an introduction to the author. I will try to get a more funny comic out next week.
Until then, stay Sparktacular! :)
