My first comic as a 20 year-old. Yayz!
This week's comic is about one of my favorite games, Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (or Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3). I've been a fan of this series ever since I was a kid playing X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel Super Heroes and the new game is no exception. I bought it from day 1 (Even the Ultimate version, though I was sort of pissed off at that coming out not even 9 months later) and I still play it alot, though I'm definitely not very good at the game.
While this comic could pretty much apply to everyone in the cast with the guidence of a skilled player, I picked Dante because he is quite notorious for his retardedly long combos. Everytime the bugger touches you, you know you're not going to get out of a combo anytime soon or before they get 100 hits. His moves don't exactly do a lot of damage at once, but his moves all cancel themselves into each other and extend for ages. While I admit his combos have gotten shorter in Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, they're still really, really long. It can be quite irritating waiting to get out of a combo you can't escape from. Don't get me wrong, I still very much love the game and have a lot of fun with it, but when you get hit by Dante, you might as well follow the steps above.
This comic was pretty fun to do, though pretty long. Listened to MVC3 music and The Online Warrior for parts of it. I don't actually plan to make more MVC3 Guides, unless there is a large demand for it. They'd probably all be pretty similar, with some exceptions. I can already tell you Wesker's guide would be telling you to GTFO from him, especially with his unique "Level 4" X-Factor. I mostly just put it there as an excuse to draw Wesker's sinister "You're gonna get raped" face. However, I'd love to hear what people think about this comic, especially those who are also fans of the game.
See you next comic! :)
